FRANCE 1811 Polish lancer of the guard The polonaise lancers were integrated in the imperial guard in the March of the 1807 and to head of the theirs regiment was placed Vincent Corvin Krasinski, a successful Polish official to greater colonel. The theirs first mission was in Spagna, where they fought against the rebel of Madrid ( 2 May 1808 ) and they took part in the battle durra of Somosierra ( 30 November 1808 ). In the June of the 1811 Krasinski were famous commander of the Legion with honour and his unit receives the standard that rebaptized it 1° regiment of the lancers of the light cavalry of the imperial guard. the following year the unit shared to the battle of Moscow.
